Eligibility criteria

01

Currently published eligibility criteria; reconfirm when the 2027 call is released: • Minimum academic achievement: 70% for associate/bachelor's; 75% for master's/PhD; 90% for health-sciences fields such as medicine, dentistry and pharmacy. • Age: under 21 for associate/bachelor's; under 30 for master's; under 35 for PhD. • Open to citizens of all countries except Turkish citizens and people who have lost Turkish citizenship. • Graduates or students who will complete graduation by the end of the current academic year before August may apply, according to the applicable call. • Applicants already enrolled at a Turkish university at the same degree level they seek are ineligible for that level. • Minimum criteria do not guarantee selection. Competition considers academic history, interests, goals, letter of intent, social activities and consistency of programme choices. The 2027 call may update details.

What the funding covers

02

Typical full-scholarship benefits: • University/department placement and tuition coverage. • Monthly stipend by level; the latest currently published values are 6,500 TRY for associate/bachelor's, 9,500 TRY for master's and 13,000 TRY for PhD. These may be revised before the 2027 cycle. • Accommodation: covered university dormitory generally for bachelor's students throughout study; master's/PhD students may receive dormitory accommodation in the first year, after which the currently published housing allowance may be 6,000 TRY in Istanbul/Ankara or 5,000 TRY in other cities, subject to programme rules. • General health insurance, a free year of Turkish study for awardees without C1 even if the degree is taught in another language, and travel tickets according to scholarship procedures. These are currently published benefits and may change in the 2027 call; the awarding body determines final amounts.

Required documents

03

Documents according to the current official guidance; the TBBS checklist for the 2027 cycle remains final: 1) Core documents for most applicants: • Valid official identity document or passport. • A recent personal photograph taken within the last year, as stated on the current official documents page. • National exam results, if any. • Diploma or accepted temporary graduation/student certificate. • Official transcript for the previous level. • International exam results such as SAT, IB, GRE or GMAT if required by the chosen university/programme. • Language exam results such as TOEFL, DELF or another accepted test if required. 2) Associate and bachelor's: • High-school diploma or accepted student/temporary graduation document. • High-school transcripts; prepare the last three years if requested by the system. • National exam result if any, and any international qualification or admission test required by the university/programme. • Language certificate if the chosen programme requires it. 3) Master's: • Bachelor's diploma or accepted graduation/student certificate. • Bachelor's transcript. • GRE/GMAT or other academic tests and language certificates if required by the university/programme. • Additional items such as a letter of intent, academic CV or recommendation letters may be requested by the form/programme. The letter of intent matters in evaluation, but follow the system's list rather than assuming every document is required for every field. 4) PhD: • Bachelor's and master's diplomas or accepted proof of the previous academic path. • Transcripts for previous degrees. • A research-topic proposal and a written sample of research conducted by the applicant; these are listed among the official PhD documents. • International academic tests or language certificates if required by the university/programme. • Prepare an academic CV, motivation letter and references if the form/programme requests them. 5) Interview day: • Bring all documents and certificates for the latest completed education level and anything specified in the invitation. • Keep clear, readable copies and prepare originals, translations or attestations when requested. Do not submit inaccurate documents or assume every programme requires the same translations or tests. Requirements may vary and the 2027 call may update them.

How to apply

04

Reference timeline and application steps: • General annual application window: usually 10 January–20 February. • Initial screening and expert assessment: usually March–April. • Tests and interviews for shortlisted candidates: usually April–June. Interviews generally last 15–30 minutes and cover document checks, motivation, academic knowledge and career goals. Some undergraduate applicants may sit a 30-question, 60-minute quantitative test; tests can vary by country and field. • Results: usually early August. • Initial procedures: August; awardees' transfer to Türkiye: usually September. These are general annual-calendar windows. Exact dates for the 2027 cycle had not been announced by 15 October 2026. There is no individual interview date before an invitation is issued; that invitation specifies city, date, time and required documents. The official application is free and submitted through the TBBS system. Applicants enter accurate information, choose the programmes visible to them, upload documents and review the application before submitting it. Current general information mentions up to 12 programme preferences, but the actual options are shown in the system. How NEXA helps: register a service request with NEXA; we review eligibility and documents and disclose the fee before work begins. With your approval, we help prepare the motivation letter and CV, organise documents, review programme choices/data/files, guide you through completing the TBBS application, prepare for the test/interview and follow published announcements. The applicant remains responsible for the accuracy of their information and approves the final application. We do not ask for account passwords or verification codes over WhatsApp. NEXA's service fee is separate from the free official application and is explained in advance. The service cannot guarantee the scholarship; the awarding authority sets the final decision, interview invitation and stipend amount. This page brings together the available benefits, criteria and steps, and will be updated when the final 2027 dates are published.

How NEXA helps prepare your scholarship application

A paid guidance service covering eligibility review, document preparation, application checking and interview preparation. We confirm the scope and fee before work starts and proceed with the applicant's approval.

01. Pre-application eligibility review

Review age, grades, degree level, nationality and academic status, then explain likely eligibility, strengths and missing items before application preparation.

02. Programme and university choices

Discuss fields that fit the applicant's background and goals, help organise preferences within the options available in the system, and explain that actual choices depend on the profile and programmes displayed.

03. Motivation / statement of intent

Gather the applicant's real experiences and goals, draft an authentic personal statement about the chosen field, Türkiye and future plans, then revise it with the applicant's approval. We do not invent achievements or facts.

04. CV preparation

Organise education, projects, work or internships, volunteering, awards, skills and languages into a clear CV suitable for the study level, using information supplied by the applicant.

05. Document checklist and review

Create a level-specific checklist and check legibility, consistency of names and dates, transcripts and file organisation. Certified translations, attestations and third-party services are agreed and priced separately if needed.

06. Guided TBBS application completion

Help organise information, programme choices and file uploads, then review the application before final submission. The applicant checks and approves all information; we do not ask for account passwords or verification codes over WhatsApp.

07. Test and interview preparation
