Eligibility criteria

01

Applicants generally must be nationals of Syria, Jordan, Lebanon or Palestine and permanently reside in one of those countries; Syrians living elsewhere because of current circumstances may be considered. They need an undergraduate degree equivalent to at least a UK 2:1 (final-year students may also be considered), relevant work and/or voluntary experience, a clear career path, leadership potential, an eligible course at a partner university (or accepted exceptional reasons for another university), and the required English level. Check the official criteria before applying.

What the funding covers

02

Tuition fees, full living/maintenance costs for the course, arrival allowance, visa and healthcare-surcharge fees, and one economy return flight. Family members' costs are not covered. Some Oxford, Cambridge and partner pathways have different funding arrangements.

Required documents

03

Prepare your secondary-school certificate/marks, university transcripts and degree certificate (or available final-year transcripts), passport/accepted national ID, qualifying English-language certificate, an up-to-date CV of no more than two pages without a photo, three reference letters, and an offer or evidence of application to a UK master's course starting in autumn 2027. The three references must accompany the scholarship application; incomplete applications without them are not considered. If a course application has not opened by 30 October, evidence may be uploaded by the published 29 January 2027 deadline.

How to apply

04

1) Confirm nationality, residence and English-language eligibility first. 2) Choose an eligible master's course and check the university's own deadline. 3) Obtain three references and prepare every required document before submitting. 4) Apply through the Saïd Foundation portal by 5:00 pm UK time on 30 October 2026. 5) Monitor email for assessment and interview updates. NEXA may offer separately priced document-review support with fees disclosed in advance; selection is not guaranteed.
