Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Scholarships

European Union — Erasmus+

A competitive route for joint master's programmes designed and delivered by university consortia in several countries. Students study at more than one institution and may move between countries. Courses usually last one to two academic years. Full scholarships are available to top-ranked candidates, but not every course or seat is necessarily funded. Admissions and deadlines vary by programme; there is no single deadline.

Published support amount

There is no single amount for every course. Full scholarships offered by eligible programmes cover the defined participation costs and contribute to travel, visa and living expenses. Exact terms depend on the specific master's call; a universal monthly amount should not be assumed.

Grant details and eligibility

Review eligibility, coverage and required documents before applying.

Eligibility criteria

01

Applicants generally need a bachelor's degree or equivalent, or final-year status with graduation before the master's begins. Each programme sets its own grade, academic-background and language requirements and may require experience, a portfolio or an interview. There is no universal GPA, language score or age limit. Check the selected course's entry rules and whether scholarships are available for your intake.

What the funding covers

02

A full scholarship covers defined programme participation costs and contributes to travel, visa and living expenses during the funded period. The course sets allowance details, payment arrangements and covered items. Family costs and every personal expense are not automatically covered unless the offer states so.

Required documents

03

Typical documents include passport, bachelor's degree or final-year enrolment evidence, transcript, CV, motivation letter, language proof and references if requested. A proposal, writing sample, portfolio, experience evidence or interview may be required by some courses. Follow the chosen programme's checklist and upload/translation instructions.

How to apply

04

1) Choose your field and identify suitable joint master's courses. 2) Confirm scholarships are available for the intended intake and review nationality, language and admission rules. 3) Apply directly to the institution or consortium. Applications are often made October–January for the following academic year, but the course deadline controls. 4) Complete any tests/interviews. 5) Monitor email and keep a copy. For a separately disclosed fee, NEXA can help compare courses, organise documents and review your file; admission or funding is not guaranteed.

Applying through NEXA is a separate paid service. The fee is explained before the process starts. Listing an opportunity does not guarantee eligibility, acceptance or funding.
